$TSMC is squeezing $STM off mature nodes. $TXN picks up the slack.: $TSMC is pushing $STM off mature node capacity to prioritize the Nvidia ecosystem, asking $STM to shift to 40nm or below. $STM is now requiring customers to lock in full-year 2027 orders, which tells you how tight the bottleneck has gotten. Bad look for $STM, clean read-through positive for $TXN.

First higher high since June ATHs. CPI and KOSPI are this week's tests.: We just printed the first higher high since the June ATHs, which is a real positive. But KOSPI hasn't closed above its 5d EMA since Jun 25 and keeps dragging futures lower, so don't get too comfortable. Two things dictate how this week resolves: CPI, and whether KOSPI can finally reclaim that EMA. If it can't, semi sentiment stays heavy regardless of the higher high.

BofA joins the chorus: memory bull thesis isn't dead.: Despite KOSPI weakness dragging on semi sentiment and some bearish $MU flow on Friday (routine for MU, nothing unusual), BofA, Morgan Stanley, and Jefferies are all saying the same thing: strong memory growth through 2027, slowing into 2028. The capex cuts narrative keeps failing to materialize. KOSPI is the mood gauge, not the fundamental story.

Photonics setup into earnings. Rosenblatt still bullish.: Rosenblatt is reiterating its bullish view on optics names heading into this quarter's earnings, seeing positive setups across the space. Bears are watching InP capacity constraints and Chinese competition in InP lasers as the main risks to the thesis.

$RBC: architecture-agnostic way to play the robotics theme.: Morgan Stanley is flagging $RBC as the best bearings bet in robotics. Bearings are architecture-agnostic, meaning it doesn't matter which humanoid design wins. Fits alongside $VPG (sensors) and actuators as a way to spread robotics exposure across the supply chain without picking a winner.
