Iran de-escalation headlines run into a market full of bear flags: Positive Iran headlines hit over the weekend and the 10y yield's 4.7% level looks like it was the trigger for the discomfort into the close. Chart review this weekend turned up a lot of bear flags across names, so the good news and the technicals aren't exactly agreeing right now. Watching to see if the de-escalation story actually holds or if it's another fade.

$NBIS flow matches the AI capex buildout story: $NBIS options flow came in strong Friday, pairing with a strong move in the stock itself, worth tracking as a tell on where the smart money's leaning. The AI capex backdrop keeps getting more support too: $ORCL's $7B Pentagon deal Friday, $NVDA guaranteeing $250B in financing for OpenAI, and SoftBank's SB Energy building a 10GW Ohio campus for an OpenAI lease. If that capex keeps flowing, NBIS is one of the names that should benefit.

AI server market seen almost doubling in 2026: JPMorgan's pegging the AI server market at $356B in 2026, up from $195B in 2025, that's 83% y/y growth if the number holds. Big-picture tailwind for the whole capex-beneficiary trade, semis and memory included. Not a trade on its own, just more fuel for the thesis we're already leaning on.

$PENG gets a bull case from Samsung's CXL research: Samsung just published research backing CXL memory pooling as a real fix for the KV cache scaling problem, and that's PENG's whole thesis. Add in the SK Hynix/NVDA partnership news and the bull case is building some fresh legs, even with Barclays still bearish and calling for the 40s. Doesn't erase the Underweight call, but it's a real counterpoint worth tracking.

chart

CXMT IPO says the memory trade still has buyers: CXMT's IPO held up fine today, which says demand for the memory trade is still there even with the broader momentum unwind and Kospi stuck in place. Not a green light on its own, but it's a data point against the "memory trade is dead" read.

$KLAC tagged as the main US winner from INTC's capex raise: Morgan Stanley's read on INTC's raised capex is that $KLAC is the outsized US beneficiary, even though Intel hasn't been a 10%+ customer for KLAC since fiscal 2015. If that read's right, it's another leg for the semicap equipment names riding this capex wave. No level or entry flagged yet, just a name to keep on the radar.

DRAM bottleneck is the ceiling on AI training throughput: A META/MU-referenced white paper flags a 38x slowdown once shuffle data exceeds available DRAM and spills to SSD. That's another data point for the memory-is-the-bottleneck thesis we've been tracking through $MU and the rest of the memory basket. Not a new trade on its own, but it's the kind of structural demand argument that keeps the bounce thesis alive.

chart

Needham sees Vera Rubin capex intensity floor at 9%, not ceiling: WFE producers look like one of the bigger beneficiaries of GOOGL's capex raise, with Needham modeling 225% total growth tied to the Vera Rubin transition. They're calling 9% intensity the floor, not the ceiling, meaning even that number could be conservative. No single name confirmed yet, but the equipment makers are worth a look as the capex story broadens.

SMH red while IGV rips, semis still can't get out of their own way: $SMH's red today while $IGV pushes higher into this taco fake-out news, not the split we'd have called. Software shrugging off the same headline that's dragging semis is one more sign sentiment in $SMH is still weak, not just a one-day wobble. Nothing to act on yet, just filing it next to the rest of the SMH/IGV rotation we've been tracking.

SPX gamma stack rolls the levels down, 7425 the new floor: Quant's fade call is playing out, we're sliding into a short gamma stack on $SPX. Support's rolled down to 7425 and resistance is now sitting closer to 7470, both notably lower than where the morning's levels were. Still early, but lose 7425 and the air underneath gets thin fast.

chart

ARKK's gap-up fade and SMH's 3.4% drop keep the short thesis alive: $ARKK gapped up above support this morning but is fading right back with the rest of the tape, still positioned short against it. $SMH's down 3.41% on the day and puts are printing that weren't really expected at the open. Plan's still to recycle those put proceeds into buying the dip once this shakes out.

SMH puts covered at the 100d ema, $570 is the reload level: Covered the $SMH puts right at the 100-day ema, banking the win instead of getting greedy. Preliminarily eyeing $570 to load them back up, if that level doesn't come the $ARKK puts carry the bearish thesis solo. Mildly annoyed $ARKK's staying this resilient today, we'll see how the rest of the week shakes out.

$RELL's 25% earnings pop erased in two sessions: $RELL beat and popped 25% on earnings last week, then gave the whole move back within two sessions. That's the tape right now, good news isn't sticking anywhere, so don't get married to an earnings gap until this momentum unwind actually eases up. Chasing the pop here is asking to be the bagholder.
