Another ABI signal, but a marginal one this time: ABI flashed another distress signal, but it's a marginal read this time, came in at 13.72 against a 14 threshold. Still counts as a signal in the streak we've been tracking, just don't treat it as fresh confirmation of anything new.
$KLAC's macro deck still points up for semis: $KLAC reinforced its semiconductor macro assumptions on the earnings call: CY25-CY30E industry CAGR around 11%, wafer equipment spend growing a point faster than that to roughly $215B, foundry mix holding near 60%. Nothing here changes the long macro tailwind for the equipment names, it's just confirmation the multi-year setup is intact.

LITE's CEO says the laser shortage beats the memory crunch, and NVDA agrees: Lumentum's CEO is calling the indium phosphide laser shortage worse than the memory crunch, which is exactly why $NVDA backed $LITE and $COHR at prices above where they trade now. Reads as an implicit tailwind for $AXTI too, on the substrate side of that same supply chain. Same bull case we've had on optics/photonics names, just getting fresh confirmation straight from the CEO.

Celestica's pluggables demand is a win for the AAOI bull case: Celestica's seeing high demand for pluggables in optics through 2027, with CPO samples in 1H27 and mass production in 2H27, that's a direct rebuttal to the bear case that CPO cannibalizes the pluggables market. Reads as a tailwind for $AAOI specifically, the cannibalization worry looks premature at best.

$BE earnings were good, the stock's still expensive: $BE's move higher on earnings is earned, the business is real, but a P/S of 20 makes it vulnerable if the broader high-growth unwind isn't actually done. Read here is we've probably seen most of the damage already, maybe a bit more downside depending how the tape goes, but nothing that changes the long-term case. Not chasing it up here.

Hyperscaler credit spreads widening looks overblown, not an ORCL repeat: The hyperscaler CDS widening is getting compared to what happened to $ORCL last year, but that read looks overblown. Credit spreads are widening because investors see the huge capex commitments and rising leverage and jump straight to assuming the cash flow can't support it, without actually checking whether that's true. Worth knowing the bear case exists, but not treating it as confirmed yet.
Robotics/inverter import bans targeting China are rolling out: New foreign import bans on robotics and inverters targeting China are rolling out this week, and the expectation here is we see a lot more policy like this going forward. No specific beneficiary names locked in yet, but it's a theme worth watching for anything with real US-based robotics or automation exposure.
